I have for a long time argued that Manakau Skatepark despite its ghettoness and lumpy surface is one of the best parks in Auckland, mostly because its one the of the few parks around you can really get some pace and blast around at full speed.. and these photos sent in by Louis Bolter really add justice to that.
Sam Skinner sent through these screen grabs from a new video he’s been working on featuring Disco Stu and Eamon. Should be rad, looking forward to seeing it! Thanks Sam!
Manakau is always a on the list of parks to shred during Aucklands winter, especially for those who are a little more inclined to want to catch some air time. A few weekends back a small crew hit up the Manakau skatepark.. here’s a bunch of photos Haimona Ngata snapped. Rad times.
Richard Hill has recently been scanning in a bunch of his old printed film photos of the Fairfield spine ramp, which is just out side of Dunedin in the South Island. The rider in the photos who is blasting the hell out of the ramp is Clinton Smith from Mosgiel. Pretty rad considering how oldschool the bikes are –

A few weekends back Alan Montefiore and his crew put on a Demo at Aotea Square called “Living Room 2012″… I’m entirely sure what the Demo was about or why the riders where wearing white button up shirts, but it all looks very interesting?? This blurb is from the curator of the Demo:
“New Zealand’s premier BMX freestyle riders collaborate with nationally recognised choreographer MaryJane O’Reilly to perform a wheeled ballet to opera and Pacific Island drum beat.
Chris Radford sent in this rad photo he put together from Red Bull Roast It earlier in the year. From the right: Jeremy(Ace carpenter), McGazza, Hucker, Satan, T.J, Jed, Cam McCaul & George Bolter of course in the centerfold. Thanks for sending this through Chris!

NZ shredder Paul ‘the captain’ Moffat who lives in Canada permanently caught up with them in Vancouver and sent through these two photos he snapped.. A few years back I was gifted a big collection of old BMX magzine’s. I just recently decided to pull them out of their dusty container and started having a flick through. Turns out in the depths of collection there’s Dig issue one, Ride issue number one and Ride UK issue number, which I thought was rad as hell,
